This is their starting point, drawn from vines in Gevrey and neighbouring Brochon under the Cote d'Or denomination, which holds growers to tighter standards than straight Bourgogne. Sweet red-berry fruit, medium weight and supple, it carries a thread of the seriousness found further up the range.
