The merit of Wynns’ radical transformation of its key vineyard sites is proven in the distinctive brightness of the colour, aromas and flavours of this wine. Superior fruit quality results in lots of energy and vigour throughout the palate, aided by a firm acid seam and softer, finer tannins. This has redcurrant and plum fruits coming to the fore over blackberry, with a savoury edge becoming a significant contributor. This should age very gracefully.

Deep, dark and ruby; perfumed, wild and floral. Deep layers of cassis, violets, mulberries and blackberries knit tightly with sweet dark chocolate/cedar oak, easing into a tight, powdery backbone of dusty tannin that provides an elegant, pliant structure. Long, smooth and brightly lit, it finishes with great finesse and balance. Very polished indeed.
