Collection: Adelaide Hills

The Adelaide Hills sits in the Mount Lofty Ranges east of the city, with vineyards at elevations between 400 and 700 metres producing wines of a noticeably cooler character than the Barossa and McLaren Vale below. The region is South Australia's primary source of cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and has also proven itself for Shiraz of a more restrained, peppery style.

Shaw + Smith and Tapanappa are among the most respected producers in the Hills, alongside a new generation of smaller makers focused on alternative varieties and minimal-intervention winemaking. The region's proximity to Adelaide has made it a hub for winemakers looking to work with cool-climate fruit without the costs associated with the more established regions.
