Franciacorta

Franciacorta is Italy's premier traditional-method sparkling wine region, set in Lombardy near Lake Iseo. The wines are made the same way as Champagne, from Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco, with extended lees ageing producing fine bubbles, toast and bright orchard fruit.

Franciacorta suits aperitif drinking, gifting and the full meal - from antipasti and seafood through to roast poultry and lighter pasta. The Satèn and Rosé styles are particularly food-friendly, while vintage cuvées reward cellaring and special-occasion drinking.
