Shaw + Smith

Shaw + Smith was founded in 1989 by cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW, and is widely regarded as the benchmark producer of the Adelaide Hills. The estate farms vineyards at Balhannah and Lenswood, both at elevation, with a focus on varieties that express the region's cool-climate character with clarity and precision.

The range centres on Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz, with the single-vineyard M3 Chardonnay and Balhannah Shiraz representing the estate's finest work. Shaw + Smith wines are defined by freshness, detail and a consistent house style that has remained coherent across more than three decades.
