Collection: Central Otago Pinot Noir
Central Otago Pinot Noir from Bannockburn and the Cromwell Basin, the heart of the region, with single-block wines from 2024, magnums and jeroboams, and some older large formats.
Central Otago, in the south of New Zealand's South Island, is the world's most southerly wine region and its only one with a truly continental climate. Hot, dry days, cold nights and schist soils give Pinot Noir of bright, dark-cherry fruit, firm structure and real concentration. The region divides into distinct subregions: Gibbston is the coolest and highest, Bannockburn and the Cromwell Basin are warmer and give the richest wines, while Bendigo, Alexandra and Wanaka each add their own accent.
Our holdings come from the Cromwell Basin and Bannockburn, on the warm south bank of the Kawarau River. Felton Road is represented by Bannockburn, Calvert, Cornish Point, MacMuir and the Block 3 and Block 5 single-block wines, several in magnum and jeroboam, and Nanny Goat offers a more approachable regional Pinot from Cromwell.
