Red and dark cherries, wild strawberries and raspberry coulis cut with hints of undergrowth, fine spice, mountain herbs and wildflowers. Critic Reviews

95 Points - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion

“Pinot noir clones 777, 114 and D5V12 from Ossa's East Coast estate, some whole berries and whole clusters, matured 11 months in larger French oak (15% new). Notes of red and dark cherries, wild strawberries and raspberry coulis cut with hints of undergrowth, fine spice, mountain herbs and wildflowers. A pure flow of plush fruit in the palate entry, plentiful in spice and light gamey notes with a tight, chalky tannin framework and pulsing mineral line. Finishes long, elegant and quite sweetly fruited. (Drink by 2036)”

94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

“It has firmness and fruit power but the in-built complexity here is what makes you sit up straighter. This is an exciting pinot noir. It tastes of dark cherries, smoked meat, forest berries, fresh herbs and violets, but the real action is arguably in the wine's undergrowth characters, and in the whispers of graphite. It feels as though this Pinot Noir has emerged from the sweet verdant heart of the woods. (Drink between 2025-2029) (94+ pts)”

93 Points - James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com

“Fragrant, plump, mid-weight pinot, exuding bing cherry, fecund strawberry and orange zest. Punchy and perfumed. A corset of tannin, a little drying, compresses the finish into a bow of savoriness. This should develop well. Drink or hold. Screw cap.”
