96 Points and Top 100 Wines 2019 - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion
From vineyards at Blewitt Springs, Kangarilla and Onkaparinga Hills; hand-pruned, crop-thinned, 20% whole bunches placed at the bottom of an open fermenter, 80% destemmed machine-sorted and placed on top, 6 days cold soak, wild-fermented, gentle pumpovers, basket-pressed to French oak for 14 months maturation. The palate is like a billowing silken spider's web, gently blowing in a breeze, red fruits the key.
96 Points - Toni Paterson, The Real Review
Extraordinary purity and definition on the nose. Rose petals, cherry pie, vanilla bean. The palate is beautifully full and expressive with a refined core of just ripe mulberries and cherries. The oak is premium, refined and discrete. It is a superb blend of sweet and savoury elements. Highly recommended
95 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Medium red/purple colour, with a lifted spice and red berry aroma, some alcohol fuminess, and an almost porty overtone. The wine is tight and sinewy on the palate, with taut, firm tannins adding a measured grip, and good persistence. It has a good balance of spicy sweet, almost brandied-cherry fruit in the middle and gentle tannin grip which keeps the balance. A delicious wine.
