There's more volume this vintage, yet it still retains the Yeringberg touch of elegance. Ripe plums and cherries, all sweet and tangy with blood orange, bitter herbs and woodsy spices. Fuller bodied with ripe tannins and good drinking now.

From vines planted 1969-1974. Autumnal, savoury and kind of amaro-laced. I’m thinking poached strawberry, cherry, spice and cedar, with a distinct sappy/sour blood orange tang, fine-grained but firm tannin, and a fresh red-fruited finish of good length. Plenty of character. I like it.
