“Violets, roses, and candied black cherries are exuded by the nose of the 2000 Vosne-Romanee Aux Reignots. Broad, lush, and gorgeously refined, it paints the palate with sensual waves of red cherries. This well-concentrated wine is medium-bodied, velvety-textured and has a sumptuous, exceptionally lengthy finish. Burghound Complex red and black fruit aromas introduce somewhat reserved, even austere flavors that offer good volume and nice finishing spice. Not as rich as the Suchots but with good velvet to the medium length finish. This is very pretty and I suspect it will unfold rather quickly, despite its presently reserved character. Int'l Wine Cellar Medium red. Raspberry, currant, plum, chocolate and espresso on the nose, with a leesy complexity. Sweet and fleshy but fresh, with good underlying mineral spine. Builds slowly on the back. A suave, subtle wine that should develop nicely in bottle.”
