Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc is one of the world's most versatile white varieties, with strongholds in the Loire Valley (Vouvray, Savennières, Anjou) and South Africa. The grape produces wines across the full spectrum - bone-dry, off-dry, sparkling, sweet and botrytised - all marked by bright acidity, orchard fruit and a textural mid-palate.

Dry styles partner seafood, roast chicken, pork and Asian cuisine. Off-dry versions suit spiced dishes and richer pâtés, and the sweet Loire bottlings work with blue cheese, fruit desserts and foie gras. Many top examples reward serious cellaring.
