Isole e Olena

Isole e Olena is one of Chianti Classico's most influential estates, formed in the 1950s from two adjoining properties, Isole and Olena, in the hills of Tuscany. For nearly five decades it was shaped by Paolo De Marchi, whose painstaking vineyard work — including massal selection of the finest Sangiovese — set a benchmark for the region before the estate changed hands in 2022.

The estate is best known for Cepparello, a pioneering pure-Sangiovese Super Tuscan first made in 1980, alongside its classic Chianti Classico and a highly regarded Vin Santo. The wines are prized for their purity, balance and ageworthiness.
