Te Mata Estate is one of New Zealand's oldest and most respected producers, based in Hawke's Bay. The estate makes serious reds and whites - Cabernet-Merlot blends like Coleraine, plus structured Chardonnay - with polish, fine balance and real cellar capacity.

The reds partner lamb, beef and game; the Chardonnay suits roast chicken and seafood. Coleraine in particular rewards a decade or more in the cellar.
