“The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc) is a fat, fleshy, tannic, substantial effort. Youthful, with notes of red and black currants, dried herbs, tobacco, and subtle wood, this medium-bodied, elegant 1998 possesses good underlying acidity. It should drink well for 7-8 years.”
