Critic Reviews
97 Points - James Suckling, jamessuckling.com
“Picked on April 3rd, the 100% Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Vanya Flower Day spent 107 days on skins in amphorae prior to being pressed and subsequently aged in French oak barrels, two-thirds new. While the color is a bit lighter than the Diana Madeline, the aroma boasts striking notes of violets, sage, bay leaf, black tea, star anise and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, it's tightly coiled yet silky, with plenty of fine-grained tannins on the long finish.”
96 Points - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate
“Medium-depth red with purple tinges: a light colour for a young Margaret River cabernet. The wine is light to medium-bodied, with a fragrant nose of violet, berry and cedar, the palate quite intense and flavoursome, complex and subtle, with fine-grained but persuasive tannins in good harmony. Finesse-plus. A lighter style, which has a lot of charm.”
