2023 Lignier-Michelot Chambolle Musigny Vieilles Vignes

Critic Reviews
91 Points - Matthew Hemming MW, Inside Burgundy
“80 year old vines from two plots and vinified with 80% whole clusters. Aromatically quite reserved, just very delicate red fruit, but the palate is all charm and grace. Very Chambolle in profile – fine and delicate. Tannins are extremely pretty and fine-grained. Four Star Wine”
92 Points - Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
“80% whole bunches. Mid purple, not the deepest. It was necessary to be very careful in the vinification to avoid the wine showing too much Morey character, I am told. The bouquet is light, within the context of Virgile’s wines, quite floral, and with certainly a pleasing finesse across the palate, adequate acidity and very good length. A very accomplished Chambolle. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Nov 2024.”
