Les Clavoillons sits in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet's Premier Cru slope, between Les Perrieres and Les Pucelles, and it is a site known for giving Chardonnay with a little more depth and generosity than the higher, cooler vineyards above it. The 2024 Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Clavoillons comes from the oldest vines at the domaine, and Paul Chavy credits the vineyard's clay-rich soils with the wine's roundness and texture.
