The NV Bollinger PN TX20, a Blanc de Noirs built on the 2020 vintage from Tauxieres, earned 94 points from both The Wine Front and Vinous, 93 from Jeb Dunnuck and 92 from Wine Advocate.

Slick and ultra-creamy yet cut with saline acidity and a prism of ultra fine, vigorous bubbles. Apple pie dashed with cinnamon, vanilla cream, frisky lime juice and just-ripe white peach. It feels very elegant. - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front (94 pts)

Drinking now and through 2037.

Critic Reviews

94 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front

“This is from (mostly) the parish of Tauxieres, pinot noir and the base vintage of 2020. This tickles the fancies. It's slick and ultra-creamy yet cut with saline acidity and a prism of ultra fine, vigorous bubbles. Scents and flavours of apple pie dashed with cinnamon, vanilla cream, frisky lime juice, just-ripe white peach and a dash of creme brulee. While quite rich, it sits at medium weight. It feels very elegant. (Drink between 2025-2030)”

94 Points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

“The NV PN-TX20 is a powerful, tightly wound wine. All the drive of Pinot comes through in this decidedly virile Champagne, built around a base wine of 2020 Pinot Noir from Tauxieres, with 50% reserve wines, half of them aged in magnum. This is an especially vinous Champagne, one that needs at least a year or two in bottle to unwind. (Original score 93.5 pts) (Drink between 2027-2037)”

93 Points - Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com

“Pouring a pale silver/yellow color, the NV Champagne Pinot Noir TX20 is representative of the fruitiness of the vintage and the purity of the citrus, with notes of white grapefruit, hazelnut, and fresh bread dough. It's a fresh expression that doesn't get the toastiness you might expect, but has the fruitiness and a frothy, bubbly mousse. It will most likely benefit from another year.”

92 Points - Kristaps Karklins, Wine Advocate

“Named after the village of Tauxieres, from which it takes its abbreviation, the new NV Blanc de Noirs PN TX20 contains 40% fruit sourced from Tauxieres, and the remaining composition draws largely from Ay-Champagne and Avenay-Val-d'Or. This cuvee is based on the 2020 vintage (48%), complemented by reserve wines from 2019 (stored in tank) as well as 2012 and 2008 (both aged in magnums). Disgorged in February 2025 with a dosage of eight grams per liter, it bursts from the glass with expressive aromas of ripe pear, tangerine peel, clove and brioche. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, broad and textural, with lively acidity and a generous core of fruit. The finish is expansive, though a subtle sweetness emerges, lending the impression of being one of the least dry expressions among the house's Pinot Noir Champagnes.”
