2011 William Fèvre Beauroy 1er Cru

One of the greatest domaines in Chablis. Founded by William Fèvre in 1957, its vineyard holdings include 16 hectares of Premier Cru and 15 hectares of Grand Cru vines. The Domaine has been committed to a strong environmental approach for more than twenty years. HEV3 certified since 2014, the majority of the vines are managed according to biodynamic principles. With a human commitment to the way the soil is treated and respect for biodiversity, Domaine William Fèvre does everything possible to express the most subtle variations in Chablis’ Climats. From the Petit Chablis to the domaine’s six Grand Cru wines, the quality is superb and the range from Domaine William Fèvre is a benchmark for the wines of the region.

The 2011 Chablis Beauroy is gorgeous. Expressive floral notes add lift and brightness to the generous, white-fleshed fruit in this beautifully balanced Chablis. Pear and peach resonate on the creamy, inviting finish. The 2011 can be enjoyed now or cellared for at least a few years. This is a terrific showing in a vintage in which so many wines are heavy.
