Collection: Gippsland Pinot Noir

Gippsland Pinot Noir from Leongatha in South Gippsland and the hills of West Gippsland, with Estate, Premium and Reserve bottlings, 2022 magnums and jeroboams, and William Downie Camp Hill.

Gippsland is a vast, cool and largely untamed region in Victoria's far south-east, stretching from the Strzelecki Ranges to the Gippsland Lakes. Its maritime influence from Bass Strait, high rainfall and long, mild ripening season suit Pinot Noir, and its small, mostly family-run vineyards give wines of fine tannin, savoury depth and real perfume. South Gippsland, around Leongatha, has deep red soils and close-planted vines, while West Gippsland's higher sites near Warragul give a lighter, more fragrant style.

The region's reputation was built at Leongatha, where Bass Phillip planted its close-spaced vineyards in the late 1970s; we hold its Estate, Premium and Reserve across several vintages, with magnums and jeroboams of the 2022 wines. From West Gippsland, William Downie Camp Hill shows the region's lighter, more aromatic side.
