Collection: Margaret River Chardonnay

Leeuwin Estate Art Series, Cullen Kevin John, Pierro VR and Xanadu Reserve head this selection of Margaret River Chardonnay. New releases sit beside museum Art Series from the 2000s and magnums, alongside newer names such as Nocturne, LAS Vino and Rowe.

Margaret River has become one of Australia's finest Chardonnay regions. The Gingin clone, a moderating ocean influence and careful oak handling give wines of citrus, stone fruit and fine acidity. The style has moved over time towards greater restraint and freshness, while keeping the depth that made the region's name.

Leeuwin Estate Art Series leads the range, with museum releases from the 2000s and several vintages in magnum. Alongside it sit Cullen Kevin John, Xanadu Reserve and Stevens Road, Pierro VR, Vasse Felix Heytesbury and Fraser Gallop Palladian. For newer names, look to LAS Vino, Nocturne, Rowe, Juniper and Stella Bella Suckfizzle. Museum vintages offer a rare chance to see how these wines develop with time in bottle, and why the best are worth cellaring.
