Juicy, tightly focused and concentrated, offering nervy citrus and orchard fruit flavors complicated by anise, chamomile and a hint of buttered toast. Shows superb energy and clarity on the finish, which clings with serious, mineral-dominated tenacity. I was reminded of a very serious Chablis here.”

“There's a certain stoicism about Art Series Chardonnay - an immovability in style. Classic entry of grilled nuts, nougat oak, fresh sliced white flesh stone fruit. Wood is prominent but the acid cut makes a meal of the fleshy to firm, rounded, creamy texture though the cedar-and-vanilla amplitude of oak lingers through the finish. Big, bold, hedonist's chardonnay lathed and preened, summoning power and depth of fruit with flex of wood, done well. Solid release. (93+ pts)”
