Collection: New South Wales
New South Wales is home to some of Australia's oldest wine producing areas, most notably the Hunter Valley - a region with a winemaking history stretching back to the 1820s. The Hunter is renowned for Semillon, a variety that produces lean, high-acid wines in youth that transform into some of the country's most complex and age-worthy whites after a decade or more in bottle, and for earthy, medium-bodied Shiraz of genuine character.
Beyond the Hunter, the state encompasses Mudgee, Orange, Hilltops and Tumbarumba - cool-climate regions producing Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir of increasing quality. This collection focuses primarily on the Hunter Valley, with producers including Tyrrell's and Lake's Folly representing the region's finest work.
