Leeuwin Estate have released magnums from their museum stock, these wines are treasures and are incredibly sought after…
"Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay is a convincing and utterly compelling wine deserving its reputation as an Australian Grand Cru with rare consistency and aging potential."
- Andrew Caillard MW
"2005 had a wonderful lemon butter, walnut character, the extensive complexity that these wines achieve with age (that they age superbly has never been in question) and extraordinary length. 2006 was just as good, more caramel and nuts, but still the wonderfully supple texture."
- Ken Gargett
97 Points - James Halliday, The Wine Companion
Bright and youthful colour; a complex array of nectarine, grapefruit and spice, particularly cinnamon, is offered on the bouquet; the palate exhibits understated power, with grilled nuts supporting the very generous, yet refined, level of stone fruit and oak; the finish is staggeringly long, fine and complex. The adoption (since '04) of screwcaps has brought a collective sigh of relief from all of its many admirers.
94 Points, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Enthusiast
Dramatic, with opulent honeyed peach and tropical fruit notes framed by smoky hints of roasted cashew and vanilla. Despite the flamboyant personality and full-bodied richness, there's also a sense of elegance, and an intense, lingering finish. Drink now–2014, although some folks swear the Art Series will go even longer.
