Why we follow Il Marroneto

The estate

Il Marroneto is one of Montalcino's most revered small estates, founded by Giuseppe Mori in 1974 in a former bell tower near the chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie. Now led by Alessandro and Iacopo Mori, it is a reference point for traditional, transparent Brunello.

The vineyards

A tiny holding of Sangiovese high on the northern slopes of Montalcino, farmed with minimal intervention. The Madonna delle Grazie cru sits beside the chapel that gives the wine its name.

In the vineyard

Traditional, low-intervention

In the glass

Pure, perfumed and precise: red cherry, rose, wild herbs and fine tannin, built for decades in the cellar. Among the most collectible Brunello made.
