Dubreuil-Fontaine

Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine has been in the same family in Pernand-Vergelesses since the late 1870s, when Pierre Arbinet founded it on two hectares. It is now run by Christine Gruère-Dubreuil and her daughters Clémentine and Hortense, and covers about 20 hectares across 22 appellations.

About Dubreuil-Fontaine

Pernand is one of the few Burgundy villages with Grand Cru, Premier Cru and village vineyards in both colours, and the domaine holds the full ladder: Corton-Charlemagne, the Corton Grands Crus Bressandes, Clos du Roi and Perrières, Pernand 1er Cru Île des Vergelesses, and the walled Clos Berthet monopole, which the family calls its petit Charlemagne. The grapes are picked by hand and the wines spend 12 to 18 months in oak.
