La Cabotte

Domaine La Cabotte sits on the Massif d'Uchaux, a limestone and sandstone outcrop between Orange and Bollène in the southern Rhône. Gabriel d'Ardhuy, of Domaine d'Ardhuy in Burgundy, bought the estate in 1981 for his daughter Marie-Pierre. Her husband Eric joined in 1986, the first wines were bottled in 1987, and their son Etienne joined in 2016. The name comes from the dry-stone shelters, cabottes, that stand among the vines.
