The estate

Few domaines define white Burgundy quite like Domaine Leflaive. With family roots in Puligny-Montrachet stretching back to 1717, the estate as it is known today was shaped across the twentieth century into one of the region's most important names. Under Anne-Claude Leflaive it became a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture, a commitment that continues to define the house: farming of extraordinary care in service of purity, transparency and site expression.

The vineyards

Leflaive's holdings read like a map of Puligny's finest terroir, a rare spread across four grand crus and a core of benchmark premiers crus on the limestone-rich slopes of the Cote de Beaune. Biodynamic farming, low yields and meticulous work in the vineyard are the foundation of the wines, well before anything reaches the cellar.

In the glass

The wines are a reference point for collectors seeking precision, longevity and site expression. Expect chiselled minerality, citrus and white-orchard fruit, a saline thread and a tension that carries the wines effortlessly over the palate. This is Chardonnay of clarity and cut, built to age for a decade or more in the finest examples.
