Why we follow Penfolds

The estate

Founded at Magill, Adelaide in 1844 by Christopher Rawson Penfold and Mary Penfold. Peter Gago is Chief Winemaker, a role he has held for more than two decades, with Steph Dutton as Senior Winemaker. Penfolds is known for multi-regional South Australian blends rather than single-vineyard wines: Grange draws principally on Barossa Valley Shiraz with McLaren Vale and Coonawarra, alongside the numbered Bin series and the Yattarna Chardonnay.
