“The Bin 21 Grenache has been in fine form lately and again impresses with the '24 release. A vibrant medium crimson in the glass with aromas of red and dark plum, boysenberry, raspberry and wild strawberry. Hints of exotic spice, cola, pomegranate juice, earth and gingerbread. Pure plummy fruits on the palate with hints of ginger cake. A cloud of nice fine tannin provides some gentle chew to its form, and there is a plume of pure fruit and spice on the exit.”

“The 2024 Grenache Bin 21 is bright and expressive, opening with red cherry, red earth and darker mineral tones lifted by a nice touch of sweet oak. “There's a velvety, creamy aspect to this wine, on top of raspberry and sweet spice, with earth and peppercorn notes laced throughout. It's neat, textural, well formed and well finished, and sits midway between the modern ethereal grenache styles and the more beefier models. It's not a bad place for a wine to sit, and this is not a bad wine. There's a $25 Penfolds-tax, arguably, but this is flavoursome, well balanced and fresh. (Drink between 2025-2031)”
