Chateau Musar is Lebanon's most famous wine and one of the world's true originals. Founded by the Hochar family and grown in the Bekaa Valley, Musar Red is a blend built around Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan, made with minimal intervention and released only after several years of ageing at the winery. The 2005 Chateau Musar Red is a vintage with further maturity behind it, in the estate's famously individual, earthy and spiced style.
Musar is a wine for the curious drinker: decant it, give it air, and let it unfold over the course of an evening.
