Critic Reviews
97 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion
“The immediate and striking strength of the wine is its extreme length and purity, a siren allure that may lead many to drink it long before it reaches its plateau of ultimate perfection; high quality grapes have been handled with admirable sensitivity by winemaker Cliff Royle.”
95 Points - Tyson Stelzer, Wine Companion
“A magnificent and opulent core of black fruit denotes an explosively voluminous Cabernet. It’s all tightly contained within a tense cage of firm, fine tannins. A compelling juxtaposition that promises an exciting future.”
94 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
“'Black fruit, creamy nougat oak, chocolate, bay leaf, dried herb and floral perfume. Medium bodied, deeply packed dark fruit, though all pretty fresh and good. Firm tannin, more oomph than the standard wine, though maybe less charm as a youngster. Almost a black tea flavour via extract, which I don't mind, it's bold Cabernet after all. Very good. Needs a good bit of cellaring to show its best. '”
