2015 Juniper Estate 'Single Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon

Critic Reviews
98 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion
“An utterly exceptional cabernet, as intense as it is elegant with great mouthfeel ex superfine tannins. It’s the lightness and brightness that are the candles on the cake. This estate block was planted in ’73. The wine includes 5.5% petit verdot, 3.5% malbec and 3% merlot, all hand-picked, up to 36 days on skins, matured for 18 months in French barriques (50% new). Winemaker notes: This has always been a single vineyard wine, but we have decided to emphasise this in the name. It’s made from our dry grown Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 1973, picked in a number of small batches and carefully crafted to make the best Cabernet possible. Small quantities of other complementary varieties are trialled during the final blending to further add to the depth and complexity of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Elegant structure, complexity, depth.”
