The Reschke family have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. Their cattle grazing here has been a permanent feature and often informs wine names (as it does their logo). Armenta is latin for herd. This outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra's Reschke has Gold and scores of 95 and 96pts to its name. "It's bold and brooding yet gracious and harmonious with blackcurrant, rich floral, cocoa, cigar and spicy oak notes on the nose. The intensely rich palate delivers powerful fruit flavours as well as captivating savoury undertones, leading to a wonderfully long irresistible finish.

As cattle graziers in the Coonawarra since 1906, the bull has been part of the Reschke family heritage for over 100 years. Now focused on producing the perfect Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, a commitment to quality has evolved, with vines hand pruned and managed to produce very low yields. This has ensured the berries harvested are rich in flavour and character. Softness and elegance of this wine have been enhanced by maturation in small French oak casks.

This hand-selected parcel of Cabernet fruit delivers a rich and fruit-driven wine with flavours of morello cherry and blackcurrant, followed by hints of pepper spice. The wine provides a full-bodied structure, silky tannins, and excellent varietal characteristics – for that lasting impression.
