“An exceptional Coonawarra Cabernet, from an outstanding vintage, this is very well priced and certain to provide pleasure over the next ten to twenty years, if well cellared. The colour is near black with a purple rim. Oak is evident, a pleasing mix of the vanillin and cedar, all integrating well with notes of chocolate, blackcurrants, cloves, cassis, bergamot, licorice and tobacco leaves. This is in great form – finely balanced with excellent length and silky tannins. A cracking example of what this variety can do from Coonawarra.”
