"Bass Phillip has released its first batch of wines produced entirely under its new ownership, including the guidance of Jean-Marie Fourrier. The wines are stunningly good.
96 points - Jane Faulkner, The Wine Companion
While there are layers and layers of flavour within, there’s also a fine line of acidity keeping this not so much tight but reined in. There seems to be more detail and focus of late, even the colour is a glorious gleaming pale straw. Flavours of stone fruit, ginger spice, grapefruit and pith and fluffy creamy lees with cedary/spicy oak.
95 points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Light-to-mid yellow colour with a shy, reserved bouquet with wheaty savoury aromas plus stone-fruit and bread-crust that translate well to the palate, which is fresh and clean, lively and well-balanced. It will no doubt build more complexity with time. Mealy and lemony flavours linger and the finish is soft and harmonious. Fresher and more fruit-driven than the Premium. It's a delicious drink now.

A concentrated and delicious chardonnay that greets you with hazelnut, apricot, fresh mango and pie crust aromas. Some salted caramel and white lavender. It’s full-bodied and intensely flavorful, but very fresh too, with sleek and caressing layers and a deliciously buttery, salty finish. Great length. Drink or hold.
