This is gamay-licious with heady aromas and juicy flavours. It has enough seriousness to last some distance yet is irresistible now with its plushness, sweetly accented fruit with charred radicchio and woodsy spices. Medium weighted and filled out by plump if grainy tannins – refreshment guaranteed.

Deep, concentrated purple-red colour; reserved peppery, gently smoky bouquet, shy and discreet but there are dark-fruit and plummy/fruitcake nuances with a meaty fermentation overtone. Big bold palate with slightly gruff tannins and a grip that lingers. It certainly has concentration and presence.
