Far Niente is one of the Napa Valley's historic Oakville estates, and the Benson Vale Cabernet Sauvignon is its tribute to the pioneering vineyard land that gave the winery its start. The 2021 vintage produced Cabernets of unusual precision across the valley, and this release shows that polish from the first sniff. James Suckling scored it 96 points, praising its lavish finesse and vibrancy, and Wine Spectator followed with 95 points, calling it very Oakville in character and recommending it be enjoyed through 2042.
Very precisely polished fruit aromas of cassis and bramble berries followed by lifted floral notes and black olives with sage and mint chocolate aromas.
