“Fermented wild, with some parcels left on skins for extended maceration. Matured in 40% new French oak. This wine is characterised by its strong arms of tannin and force of ripe fruit, though it also feels completely in balance and, indeed, as if it's been finessed into ideal position. Everything just feels right. Blackcurrant, mint, boysenberry, florals and smoky/spicy oak, all tucked neatly into one another. It's a standout wine.”
