Echezeaux is the Grand Cru of Flagey-Echezeaux, lying between Clos de Vougeot and the great vineyards of Vosne-Romanee, and at its best it gives Pinot Noir that pairs the perfume and silk of Vosne with a touch more breadth and spice. Domaine Bruno Desaunay-Bissey is a small family estate based in Flagey-Echezeaux itself, working holdings in Vosne-Romanee and its Grand Crus in a traditional style, and Echezeaux is the crown of its range. The 2022 Bruno Desaunay-Bissey Echezeaux Grand Cru comes from a warm, generous vintage in the Cote de Nuits that gave ripe, well-balanced reds with plenty of freshness.
