2023 Domaine Rapet Pere et Fils Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Fourneaux | Pre-Arrival Offer

Critic Reviews
93 Points - Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
“Fairly light colour, but there is a pleasantly ripe blackberry fruit on the initial attack with hints of mint, earth and peppery spice. The texture resembles the village-level version (Rapet has 2ha of village and 1ha of premier cru), but there is more tannic grip here and better length, making for a subtle yet distinct difference between the two. The vines were originally planted in 1956; those classed as village in deeper clay soils, while the premier cru are more directly on the limestone. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2045”
92 Points - Neal Martin, Vinous
“The 2023 Savigny-les-Beaune Aux Fourneaux 1er Cru, which contains one-third whole bunch, has a delightful bouquet of cranberry and wild strawberry fruit as light earthy scents emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins, clean and precise with impressive mineralite and refinement. Definitely one of the best, more elegant Savigny wines this year. (Drink between 2026-2038)”
92 Points - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
“A similar brisk ruby, rather more angular on the nose, being almost straight on the rock, yet with concentration. This shows all the more on the palate and the tannins are much more integrated. Clearly more precision at the finish. Original score: 89-92 points”
