2023 Yarra Yering 'New Territories' Shiraz Touriga Nacional

Critic Reviews
95 Points - Philip Rich, Wine Companion
“A blend of 60/20/20% shiraz/touriga nacional/tinta cão. Matured in older French oak. The only two golds in Class 10 – Other Red Blends at last year's Yarra Valley Wine Show were this and the Dry Red No. 3, with this wine edging out its stablemate for the trophy! A very bright crimson. A fresh and complex combination of blackberries, cherries and crushed violets aplenty. Persistent and primary on the palate with serious yet fine-grained tannins. Long. Lovely. A wine that will age gracefully, too.”
94 Points - Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot
“This is a Shiraz dominant wine but the perfumes of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cao add so much. It’s a pretty wine with a scented lift of spicy red fruits revealing subtleties of cherry and violet. The palate is medium-bodied and just so beautifully delivered with fine silky tannins holding a tight line through to the finish. Oh yes, you could slip into this as easily as a pair of old slippers.”
