Since winemaker Julian Langworthy took over in 2010, the (Res Cabernet) has won 19 trophies (including a Jimmy Watson memorial trophy) and 46 Gold medals at shows nationally and internationally. Fogarty Wines purchased the property in 2008. Moreover, Since 2011, we assume, under Julian Langworthy leadership, Deep Woods has been awarded approximately 80 trophies and 250 gold medals across major national and international wine shows.
Recently, Deep Woods Estate has just been awarded the Western Australia Producer of the Year Trophy at this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) September 2025— the highest honour at one of the world’s most respected wine awards.
Their 2023 Reserve Chardonnay and 2024 Reserve Chardonnay each received Gold Medals and 97 Points, making them the highest-scoring Chardonnays of the show. Both of these will be showcased at our event.
From 2014-2019 Deep Woods won 12 of the 42 Capital City Cabernet Trophies … That’s the 29% … Against the whole country!
“In a sea of fierce competition, Deep Woods Estate is continuing a non-stop run of awards with an ever-growing count of sensational reviews, Gold Medals and Trophies.”
