Why we follow Yarra Yering

The estate

Founded in 1969 by Dr Bailey Carrodus, who made the first commercial Yarra Valley release since 1921 and labelled his reds by number rather than by variety. Sarah Crowe has been winemaker since the 2014 vintage and is also general manager, with Andrew George managing the vineyard. The estate is known for dry-grown, hand-plunged reds from the original Gruyere plantings, still fermented in Carrodus's tea-chest fermenters.
