“A new release from Wynns, celebrating fifty years of black label cabernet. Strong red purple colour. Aromas of cassis/cherry, cedar, crystallized violets and a little rub of menthol and mint. On the palate firm fine tannin and flavours of cassis, cherry, violet and another little rub of tobacco. Quite linear and not at all showy - a classic Cabernet of some restraint. Black olive flavours on the finish with firm tannin to close. A young wine at this stage but one with plenty of cellar potential. (Drink between 2008-2016)”
