Pure dark fruits abound in the bouquet, with an intriguing Provincial herb complexity, offset by ironstone minerality; long, luscious, pure and poised, and given the 26 months in French oak barriques, is a massive departure from traditional Barossa grenache.

For all the talk of the “ageability” of Oz grenache on this site of late, here’s a grenache that will take age well. It will be fascinating to see what happens to it’s in-built complexity over time. Undergrowth, bright raspberries, dry spices – it’s fresh and fruity but packs a serious, savoury punch. Very fine tannin. Profoundly smooth texture. Satisfying length. High quality.
