Mount Mary has made Pinot Noir in the Yarra Valley since the early 1970s, long before the variety became fashionable in Australia, and its wines remain among the most refined in the country. The 2024 Mount Mary Pinot Noir is fermented with as many whole berries as possible and matured in French barriques, giving a bright crimson wine of red cherry, black raspberry, dark rose and allspice with a silky, fragrant and very long palate. Philip Rich (Halliday Wine Companion) awarded it 97+ points, noting that it will only grow more complex with time.
