Average Critic Score: 95.0/100

The 2023 Darshan Pinot Noir comes from Bindi, the Dhillon family's benchmark estate in Victoria's Macedon Ranges. The Darshan vineyard, planted in 2014 on west-facing quartz soils and named for Bindi's founder Bill Darshan Singh Dhillon, is all about perfume and finesse. Rated 95 points by both James Halliday and Huon Hooke.

"Such a pretty wine; there's a lightness of touch on the palate and wonderful perfume with the aromatics." - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion

Released alongside the 2024 after two tiny, flowering-disrupted vintages. Drink now to 2033.

Critic Reviews

95 Points - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion

“Such a pretty wine; there's a lightness of touch on the palate and wonderful perfume with the aromatics. Wafts of red roses, autumn leaves, incense and raspberry leaf. The palate is light with soft, silky tannins and cleansing acidity, and while you wouldn't really call this complex, you would say it's a lovely drink. Closure: Diam. 12.5% alcohol. (Drink by 2033)”

95 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review

“Medium-light ruby/tile red with the faintest trace of purple; lovely mossy, undergrowthy, leaf-litter bouquet; the palate light-bodied and soft textured, with a core of fruit sweetness, easy harmony and gentle tannins. (Drink 2025-2033)”
