Les Rougeots sits high on the Meursault slope, named for the iron-rich red soil that runs through it. The climat is best known as the source of Coche-Dury's celebrated Meursault, which says much about its standing. Monnier's bottling trades the breadth of the village blend for amplitude and grip, yellow orchard fruit set on a firm mineral spine. A single-vineyard Meursault with a clear sense of place.
