By Farr Shiraz comes from the original 1994 vineyard at Bannockburn, on a north-facing slope of red volcanic soil over limestone. Hand-picked with around 20 per cent whole bunches and a small co-ferment of viognier, it is wild-fermented and matured 18 months in French oak.
A powerful, cool-climate Shiraz spiced with pepper and mineral, earthy notes. The viognier adds richness to the nose and palate, leading to intense fruit and long, earthy tannins that frame the wine's delicate structure and elegance.
From Wine by Farr, named The Real Review Winery of the Year Australia 2025.
